Goods arrived a couple of days after ordering.
Perfect replacement product. The fan that was faulty is a good 30 years old and apart from this switch which has had 30 years of pulling it's all working fine.
They even supplied a page of instructions for changing the switch if you needed them.
Very pleased with Fantasia & the products are always robust.

Bought a new switch as a replacement for a new fan only about 2 months old. The original switch cord snapped. Easy to replace.

Very easy to install so you back and running in no time. You basically undo couple screws and replace cables or follow detailed diagram. It took like 5 minutes top. The need to replace the switch was that the string came undone in the originally and couldn't be fixed as the body is sealed. Only thing is I would like the string bit longer but that's easy fix.

Excellent technical support, and replacing the switch resolved the problem. Easy to fit, 5/10 minute job but ideally 2 pairs of hands needed, especially for fan with lights.

Had the ceiling fan 10years and is used every night summer and winter, live in a bungalow and can't have windows open over night so fan is needed. Excellent service and arrived very quickly. Perfect. Thank you.

Ordered new switch late evening which arrived 2 days later. Great service.
Fitting instructions very clear.
Replacement switch fitted in about 10 minutes. Fan now working as it should.

I bought this fan about 8 years ago and it has been well used in four different houses. When the speed switch disintegrated, I thought we would have to get a new fan. I was very surprised and pleased to find spares were still available and was even more surprised to receive my order within 2 days. New switch arrived with comprehensive fitting instructions, so I was able to get up and running again in 15 minutes. I cannot fault Fantasia.

Ordered 3pm Friday - delivered 12 noon Saturday. Amazingly good service. Fitted it in about 20 minutes. My fan was not wired as the supplied diagram but I replaced one wire at a time and everything worked okay.

After 16 years the cord on the switch was beginning to look a bit worn, so I contacted Fantasia and was pleasantly surprised that a company still kept spares for a 16 year old product and then impressed with the speed of delivery. it arrived the next day complete with full and clear instructions.

On the one hand, I am disappointed that the speed switch failed in the first place, considering the ceiling fan had been used a mere half dozen times in a spare bedroom. An identical fan, same age, in another bedroom, is still OK.
On the other hand, I am impressed that Fantasia live-chat quickly confirmed my diagnosis of the problem, and despatched the spare part, to arrive the very next day. It was easy to replace.
Well done for that Fantasia, but maybe the switch itself needs to be of a more robust design.

I 'spoke' to the online help and explained the problem (fan only works on high speed) and that I assumed it was the switch failing.
New switch arrived promptly (good) and I changed it (quite easy) but problem remained!
On looking at the details of the speed capacitor (not considered before) I find the problem I have described exactly!
Why was I not advised that it was the capacitor and not the switch which needed replacing.
I now have to fork out for a new capacitor and possibly swap out the switch again to return it.
Very disappointed at the online help. As this looks like a known problem I would expect them to have advised me to get a new capacitor first.
1 star given purely for the failure on advice rather than the product.

This switch isvery easy to fit. The cables are a push fit no screw driver required only a very small flat headed one to remove cable from old switch. Conections are numberd all you need to do is remove and fit one cable at a time, no problem.

Danger in fitting. Instruction on shorting cap poor. Which lead to short it out ?. New switch bigger than old one .Very tight fit when refit light assembly.

Needs two people to fit but video instructions were clear and product is excellent & not that expensive - allow about 15mins

Excellent customer service and advice. Switch arrived very promptly. Easy enough to fit, for a non-electrician. Instructions very clear. Needed help to dismount/re-attach the 3 lights under the fan on my model - not a one-person job, the lights are heavy! Also the chain on replacement is a little short, so I just changed it for the old one from the faulty switch. Fan now works as well as ever (thank goodness in current heat wave - July 2019) - 17 years old and still going strong. Thank you, Fantasia Fans.

I am surprised that the string broke in the fantasia fan in my wifes study/office . I have 4 other fans the same which get used a lot more often . Anyway , I took the old switch apart to see how it works . I now realise that I could have fitted a new string without ordering a new switch.
It was an easy job the make the change but there were no instructions. I did not need two persons to do it

Needed a small part for a 12 year old Fantasia ceiling fan. It was easy to find on the website, it arrived next day, together with detailed fitting instructions. First class service! TY

After many years faithful service our Fantasia ceiling fan seemed to be on its last legs, having lost one of its 3 speeds, and then the pull switch becoming unreliable. Amazingly I was able to buy and fit a new speed capacitor and new switch, and the fan is as good as new. The Fantasia website was easy to use and helpful. Only hiccup was that the capacitor wire colours didn't match the actual device, but this was easily overcome using information on the website and some common sense.

We needed a new switch for a Fantasia fan, the old one was serviceable but the chord had snapped and needed replacing. After attempting a repair I sourced a new switch for £6.99 from Fantasia.
It arrived within a day and was fitted in 15 minutes. Very simple to install and we now have a fully functional fan for minimal outlay. Very Pleased. Only gripe I have is that it cost a further £2.99 for a chain which could be cheaper.

It was easy to change a like for like product, and a well priced original. My only gripe is that the original should not have failed (after 6 years occasional use). I wonder how long this one will last?
A previous fan from another manufacturer also suffered with a failed speed switch. Maybe this failure is a weak spot in the overall design. And, from my experience the only one in an otherwise very reliable and attractive product.

The switch element was fine, but please note it only comes with about 2cm of chain. Given that it asks you to choose a chain colour, I was under the impression that it would come with the full chain and bead for the end, but it has neither of those unfortunately.

Arrived in good time. Easily replaced along with 3 wire capacitor as per original. Original switch has only lasted 3 years old.

Just wanted to say what fantastic service you provided on our order!
We have a Fantasia ceiling fan with light attachment which we have had for several years without any problems, and has been a Godsend in all this recent hot weather. So you can imagine our dismay when I went and broke the light cord near to the switching mechanism. We thought all was lost when we dismantled it to reattach a new cord, and found the unit came apart but wouldn't go back in the same way and work. Then I had the bright idea to search on the internet for any spare parts and found your wonderful, helpful website, which not only had a replacement unit, but had helpful instructions on how to replace it, and at an excellent price.
However, it didn't just stop there - we immediately ordered and paid for the part yesterday, and in the space of 8 minutes of the order we received 3 emails to say order received, order being fulfilled, and order shipped! And the part was received 24 hours later, and with the excellent clear instructions the fan was up and running within the hour of receipt!
My wilting (the hot weather!) husband and I, want to congratulate for the most excellent all round service. Well done - you are an AAA* Company!

The switch is a good build, but the cables need to be tinned or bootlace.

Really surprised to find this available. Exact replacement with clear diagram and instructions. If you can read, you can change this switch. The only issue I had was getting all the wiring back into the body, but this only applies if you have the lamps included that fit onto the bottom of the fan. In any case all that was required was a bit of patience to get it all packed in. A new lease of life for an otherwise dead fan.
Very fast delivery a bonus. Good to find a company with such good backup for its products.

I have two Fantasia Ceiling fans which are so old but work like the day they were installed.One of them Malfunctioned and thought due to its age ,I would have to replace it BUT my son took it to pieces and discovered the speed switch was dead.Looked online and discovered the speed switch was available from Fantasia, so I orders a new one, it arrived quickly, and my son fitted it straight away. It's up and running maybe for another 20 years.

I have had my Fantasia Ceiling Fan in my lounge for about 25 years and its still running fine. Recently the switch started to play up and it took a number of pulls to get the fan to change speeds or switch off. The new switch was an exact replacement and was easy to fit for anyone with a bit of DIY experience. The fan is now as good as new and for 25 year old unit, thats saying something about the quality of these fans.

We have had this fan for over 15 years and only had a problem with the speed switch in the last two years, pretty good going. The switch is an almost identical match and quite easy to fit, however the wiring colour code as described in the helpful guide online does not match the connections on the existing switch which I replaced . It would be well worth your time making a note of which colour wire comes off the old switch and connecting it to the same corresponding terminal number on the new switch. Model Bellair with lights

Followed instructions, Fitted switch, and it worked. This is the third switch for this fan in 12 years....the chord will always cut through after a period of time on the metal nut that it runs through, there is a sharp edge on the inside of it.

I replace my switch due to cable broke I found a replacement switch from Fantasia I place an order which cost £6.99 Plus post which was very good service the instruction was clear and easy to follow. great service

Good product but wears out within a few years. I think it would last longer if internal ratchet was made of something more durable.

Had a Fantasia ceiling fan for 20 years which is on all year round every night. The pull has just broken, initially thought I would have to replace the fan but after a quick Google search I was able to purchase a new switch from fantasia. The switch arrived promptly and was very easy to fit, good value for money.
